Biography/History:
John Agard is one of the most popular poets writing in Britain today. He was the winner of the Paul Hamlyn Award for Poetry in 1997. His collection of poetry for young children, We Animals Would Like A Word With You was shortlisted for the Smarties Prize. He is the author of many children's books. To read more about John Agard click here Jenny Bent's family live in Jamaica, but she has her home near London. Jenny began working as an illustrator after graduating from Harrow Art College. She has written and illustrated several books. She lectures in art and design and in 1992, she travelled to Nigeria on British Council bursary to hold children's book illustration workshops.
