A fisherman's last voyage

Mair, Graham
Books, Manuscripts
The north-east of Scotland not only has a tradition of fishing but also of a ready response to the preaching of salvation through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. The hazardous nature of fishing in the stormy waters of the North Sea combined with deep piety produced men who not only walked but sailed with God. The author of this book is able to write from his own experience both as a fisherman and as a man deeply commited to his Savior. The book is chiefly about his father, William Mair, from when, in his teens, he not only started on his lifelong career but also a believer in Christ, until his eventual homecall. Fortunately, he kept a diary, which the author has mimed to great effect.
