Summary

The Death and burial records for the period 1610 to 1819 have been extracted from the Kirk Session Minutes (National Archives of Scotland CH2/570 et seq), and also some Minister's deaths from Fasti Esslesiae Scoticanae. The Kirk Session Minutes contain various entries of payments of Mortcloth dues, payments for coffins, payments for funerals and other similar entries, which all give an indication of an appoximate date of death. The Deaths and Burials from 1820 to 1828 are also taken from Kirk Session minutes and have transcribed into the Old Parish Registers.
