If you enjoy good conversation and want to help or get help from other knitters and yarncrafters, join our free Knit n Natter Group at Elgin Library! We also do lots of team project work, such as our Autumn pumpkin display and incredible waterfall of poppies for Remembrance Day at the library. We re currently working on something for the summer... 

We meet every Friday and all crafts and abilities are welcome. Refreshments are provided. 

Do you love a good discussion about your favourite books?  Keen to hear what others are reading, what's good and what's not? Do you like to delve into your favourite reads a bit more? Why not come along to our book chat, it's nice and relaxed with no set book just people who love reading and sharing. 

We have a book group dedicated to reading the classics at Elgin Library.  Each month we will focus on an author or a theme and discuss what we thought of a particular work, or the style or times that these classics were written in.  Having a broad choice of reads will stimulate some interesting discussion.

You can borrow items by the author or on the theme from a curated collection, just drop by and make your choice.  Alternatively, many classics are freely available as eBooks on LIBBY, so download the app and check out a classic on your device.

Join us at Lossie Library to share some wonderful, fun stories! Suitable for pre-schoolers and families.

Every Wednesday from 3.30pm - 3.45pm.

Are you a beginner who enjoys chess but would like to learn some new tips or tricks?

Do you like board games but have never played chess, and fancy giving it a go?

Do you simply want someone to play against? 

Join our new Chess Club at Lossie Library!

It runs every Tuesday between 5 and 6pm and is for kids 7yrs and over.

Sessions will be fun, relaxed and informal.

If you love to knit or crochet, or indeed any sort of yarncraft (we won't judge!), try out our popular Twisted Stitches knitting and crochet group! Share stories and projects, admire other people's yarn, and talk about your extensive stash with people that actually get it. All welcome!
